Worcestershire County Council is looking to commission a lead provider to co-ordinate the delivery of Strength and Balance (Postural Stability) classes across Worcestershire to prevent falls.
We are seeking input at this initial stage of commissioning development to help us identify the potential interest from the market in supplying this Strength and Balance Service
We would like to invite interested organisations to meet with us for an informal discussion around service delivery.
The core service provision of the Strength and Balance service will include:
– Working directly with older people at greatest risk of falling to improve their strength and balance, through a course of specific, tailored exercise classes
– Signposting participants to access information and advice and other preventative services as required
– Creating opportunities, through the intervention to reduce social isolation and loneliness, build confidence and improve wellbeing
In addition, the service provision should include:
– The administration and co-ordination of strength and balance classes across Worcestershire
There will be a group presentation and Q and A session up until 3.30 pm.
From 3.30 pm there will be the opportunity to book a 15 minute one to one slot with the Commissioners. These will be booked on a first come first served basis.
If you have any questions about the event or you wish to book a One to One session please email ToUs@worcestershire.gov.uk
