This highly popular programme provides grant funding and business advice to eligible businesses in the region that have been trading for 24 months or more.

Is your business eligible?
Based in and trading from Worcestershire
With fewer than 250 employees
Turnover less than the equivalent of 50 million Euros per annum or a balance sheet of less than 43 million Euros

Grant applications must be received by Worcestershire County Council between 9th January 2019 – 6th February 2019. They will be assessed on a competitive basis. Businesses can apply for EITHER a Revenue or Capital grant.
Revenue Grants: The total project cost for revenue items shall be between £5,000 – £7,500. Only 12 revenue grants shall be awarded in total, at in intervention rate of 45%
Capital Grants: The total project cost for capital equipment shall be between £10,000 – £20,000. Only 10 capital grants shall be awarded in total, at in intervention rate of 45%
A business can only apply for one grant and must choose to either purchase capital or revenue items. Applications for both capital and revenue items will not be approved.
Priority will be given to businesses participating in the Worcestershire Business Accelerator programme (delivered by BizSmart Ltd).
Applicants will need to ensure that they have provided all of the information required and have made a strong business case to receive grant funding.
Businesses must not have not received any previous grant funding from the Worcestershire Business Accelerator ERDF programme.
Grants will be awarded on a matched funding basis and will therefore cover up to 45% of the total costs. Grants applications will be required to demonstrate job creation and business growth potential.
- Be located in Worcestershire
- Be trading for 24 months or more
- Have short term aspirations that will enable them to grow the business and create at least one new FTE job
- Be scalable and have the potential and motivation to grow
- Be an SME as defined by HMRC and meet the De Minimis State Aid Criteria
- Be trading “Business to Business” rather than Business to Consumer”
