A record total of over 2,800 young people and businesses from across Worcestershire are set to attend this year’s Worcestershire Skills Show 2018.
Thousands of school leavers and sixth formers will be visiting the event from 9am to 7pm on Wednesday 7 March, 2018, at the Regent Centre, Chateau Impney, Droitwich Spa. The show will have open entry to young people and parents from 3pm to 6:30pm.
Inside, the event will be divided into six key ‘zones’ which will group together like-minded businesses from many different industry sectors. A total of 43 schools and colleges will be in attendance throughout the day, to visit a total of 80 businesses in zones that include Creative Worcestershire, Explore Worcestershire, Advised in Worcestershire, Serving Worcestershire, Inspiring Worcestershire and Tomorrow’s Worcestershire.
The Worcestershire Skills Show has developed a reputation for its engaging and exciting activity-based stands that help to bring the world of work to life. A number of tech talks will also take place throughout the day, with local experts providing useful words of wisdom on several topics ranging from the National Careers Service to Entrepreneurship. Young people will also have access to the very latest labour market information, to highlight the careers opportunities that are available.
Worcestershire Skills Show is delivered by the Careers and Enterprise Company, in order to highlight the world of exciting business opportunities that are available for younger generations.
