
About The Business Energy Efficiency Programme
Lowering your energy bills can make a big difference to your business bottom line, so if you are looking to cut costs, we can help.
Our ERDF funded Business Energy Efficiency Programme supports eligible businesses in Worcestershire to become more environmentally friendly, and in doing so, save money on energy costs.
The support on offer is twofold – firstly to assess your business premises, products and processes to see what improvements can be made with energy and resource usage and secondly, to provide grants of up to £20,000 (up to 40% of the total cost of the project) to implement the recommendations from the assessment and make your business more energy efficient.
BEEP is a partnership between Worcestershire Councils, Herefordshire Council, Telford & Wrekin Council, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and Shropshire Council.

How can this programme help your business?
There are a number of different activities that will be covered by the Business Energy Efficiency Programme grants, including:

This programme is also open to businesses in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire.
Is your business eligible?
There are some exceptions, but generally, your business will need to be:
Based in and trading from Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire
With fewer than 250 employees
Turnover less than the equivalent of 50 million Euros per annum or a balance sheet of less than 43 million Euros

GRANTS
Free energy efficiency assessments and grants of up to £20,000 for small & medium sized enterprises in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire. The energy efficiency assessments are carried out by; Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Pro Enviro Ltd and Severn Wye Energy Agency.

CRITERIA
BEEP can provide grants of up to 40% of the total cost of a project (to the maximum contribution of £20,000 for businesses to improve their energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
To qualify, your business must:
-Be situated in and trading from Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire or Telford & Wrekin.
-Employ fewer than 250 employees.
-Have a turnover of less than the equivalent of 50 million Euros per annum or a balance sheet of less than 43 million Euros.
– A minimum energy spend applies
Please note some industries such as primary agriculture and retail are not eligible. Other activities excluded are social welfare and education facilities, banking and insurance. Priority will be given to businesses that help meet the projects aims.

This project is receiving up to £2,161,050 of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Department for Communities and Local Government (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) is the Managing Authority for European Regional Development Fund.
