VAT in Great Britain and Northern Ireland Trade Explained – Webinar

The UK will leave the EU VAT system, Customs Union and Single Market on 31 December 2020.

From 1 January 2021 the UK’s new VAT regime will come into effect.

In a free webinar run by the Northern Ireland Customs & Trade Academy, you’ll hear about key changes to VAT that impact trade in goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 1 January 2021 – and equally important, what VAT rules will stay the same.

This half-hour webinar is being hosted by NICTA on behalf of the Trader Support Service, the government’s free-to-use digital service helping traders navigate changes to the way goods move once the Northern Ireland Protocol comes into effect on 1 January 2021.

The VAT & GB:NI Trade webinar takes place on Wednesday 18 November at 3pm GMT and will cover:
• What is VAT
• VAT rules for GB:NI trade: what changes from 01/01/2021 and what stays the same
• How to account for GB:NI trade VAT from 1 January 2021

You can sign up for the free webinar here and can also ask questions for the expert speaker in advance when registering.
