Worcestershire County Council is ‘Open for Business’ helping companies across the region to access and take advantage of the wide range of fully funded business assistance programmes available. Whether you are looking for support to start a new venture, expand your current business, or develop innovative, new product ideas, our Open for Business programmes are here to help get you started.
Open For Business programmes aim to grow the local economy by providing support to Worcestershire businesses who need advice, consultancy and funding to take their business to the next stage. These programmes are delivered by Worcestershire County Council’s Growth and Investment Team through a network of trusted third-party providers, connecting you with the people who can help you most.

Proof of Concept

Offers support for businesses to investigate, advance, commercialise and protect early stage innovative ideas.

Low Carbon Opportunities Programme

Free consultancy and grants either for SMEs to install renewable energy systems, or for SMEs (including start-ups) undertaking development of new carbon products/diversifying into the low carbon market.

 

Enterprising Worcestershire

There are three elements to this programme; a core business start-up offer, support for early stage businesses and support for high growth start-ups. This support includes 1-2-1 sessions, workshops and grants.

Business Energy Efficiency Programme

Provides grants and free energy efficiency assessments to SMEs enabling them to improve energy efficiency and profitability, while reducing carbon emissions.

Offers local businesses the opportunity to meet with suppliers at monthly meetings.
