Wellbeing firm marks successful decade in business

A Worcestershire wellbeing business has celebrated its tenth anniversary following a period of strong growth and the introduction of new services.

Hands On At Work was founded by Worcester businesswoman Kathy Scott in 2010 and over the past decade has expanded from two therapists covering Worcestershire, to a network of over 100 therapists delivering treatments in workplaces across the UK.

With increased pressure on employees, the business has benefited during the past ten years with more employers asking them to deliver their workplace wellbeing services to help reduce anxiety, tension, and stress amongst their employees.

The business has also gone from strength-to-strength after introducing and promoting a constant stream of new services for businesses such as nutrition sessions, mental health and yoga workshops and supporting businesses with their wellbeing policies.

Kathy said: “Ten years has flown by and to be celebrating that achievement is an incredibly proud moment for not only myself, but the whole of the team.

“To become a trusted wellbeing provider by businesses up and down the country is a massive pat on the back. We have worked hard to be the one that businesses turn to when looking to implement wellbeing strategies and to understand the thinking behind them.

“It has taken a long time, however, health and wellbeing is now seen as an essential part of working life with employees wanting their employers to look after them as much as possible.

“The workplace massages will always be the backbone of what we do, however the new services that we offer have been incredibly successful.  Not just visiting businesses to provide workplace massages, but to provide the complete wellbeing service, which includes a range of workshops.”

Kathy added: “The business would be nothing without our incredibly talented therapists.  Along with key people like Chantall Herbert, who joined the team five years ago.  Chantall has been key to our growth, she works tirelessly to raise awareness about what we do and by networking and promoting us the length and breadth of the country. The future is bright for us we and we cannot wait for the next ten years.”

Kathy and her team at Hands On At Work have also had to overcome challenges over the past four months brought by Covid-19. Diversifying into other areas, they have introduced a series of virtual workshops and been advising on health and wellbeing through video conferencing technology.  Kathy has also used the downtime to write a book about the massage therapy industry which she hopes to release in 2021.
